Areas of Operation
Alabama
In this area, our most significant asset is the Big Escambia Creek Field in Escambia County, Alabama. We own approximately 65 percent of the field and serve as operator of the wells and the associated gas treating and processing facilities. This field produces from a sour, condensate-rich accumulation in the Smackover formation (approximate depth = 15,000 feet) that has cumulatively produced nearly 1 TCF of gas since its discovery in the late 1970s.
This operation requires a strong integration of midstream and upstream activities, and is an excellent example of how EROC can utilize its unique skill set to create value for its investors
East Texas
In East Texas, we also own and operate wells that produce from various Smackover fields, although in these we do not operate the gas treating and processing facilities that serve the wells. Our interests include wells in the Fruitvale, Ginger, Birch and Northeast Edgewood Fields.
South Texas
Our interests in South Texas are wells which we operate in the Jourdanton Field in Atascosa County. These wells produce from various members of the Edwards formation (approximate depth = 7,400 feet), and we believe the field contains several low-cost infill drilling and recompletion opportunities.
West Texas
Eagle Rock owns and operates approximately 290 producing wells in Ward, Crane and Pecos counties in the Permian Basin. These wells produce from multiple formations both on both primary recovery and within secondary waterflood projects. Eagle Rock has a high average working interest in these properties including a significant number of infill drilling and recompletion opportunities.
